Metropolitan Opera Season 2022

Immerse yourself in the musicality and drama of some of the world's most intriguing operas - from the very famous to the less well known.

 

Central Cinema is excited to have been approached by Rialto to host the Metropolitan Opera's 2022 Season.

 

Don't forget to check the running times - some of these operas are epic!

 

These shows will have intermissions and refreshments will be available for purchase.

 

Prices are set by the Met and are $34 per ticket, but $29 for seniors. Central Cinema members are also $29.

The Met: Live in HD 2022–23: Medea

Having triumphed at the Met in some of the repertory’s fiercest soprano roles, Sondra Radvanovsky stars as the mythic sorceress who will stop at nothing in her quest for vengeance.

Joining Radvanovsky in the Met-premiere production of Cherubini’s rarely performed masterpiece is tenor Matthew Polenzani as Medea’s Argonaut husband, Giasone; soprano Janai Brugger as her rival for his love, Glauce; bass Michele Pertusi as her father, Creonte, the King of Corinth; and mezzo-soprano Ekaterina Gubanova as Medea’s confidante, Neris.
